New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch has appointed Neil Giarratana of Lucidus Corporation to a task force charged with developing a strategic plan for retaining young, skilled workers in the state New Hampshire. Mr. Giarratana was appointed as the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce and Keene YPN representative to this task force.

By Executive Order, Governor Lynch organized this Governor's Task Force for the Retention and Recruitment of a Young Workforce for New Hampshire. The task force will facilitate communication and collaboration among New Hampshire's public, private, education and non-profit sectors to address the needs, interests, educational pursuits, and vocational ambitions of young workers in an effort to retain and recruit young, talented, hardworking individuals to live and work in New Hampshire.

Effective immediately, Mr. Giarratana will be working with other task force members to identify barriers that prevent some young people from remaining in New Hampshire. The Task Force will develop a statewide strategic plan for retaining and recruiting young workers to the State of New Hampshire. A final plan must be submitted to the Governor no later than March 31, 2009.

"It is our people - and the skills they have - that will ensure that New Hampshire's economy continues to lead the nation," Gov. Lynch said. "Our young people are vital to the future of our state's economy, and we must do everything we can to keep their creativity and talents in New Hampshire."

The Task Force is comprised of representatives from the education, business and labor communities from across New Hampshire. It will be co-chaired by Gray Chynoweth of the Manchester Young Professionals Network and Chris Williams of the Nashua Young Professionals Network.

Neil Giarratana has been the Chairperson for the  Keene Young Professionals Network since its inception in June, 2007. He also serves on the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and also was featured at the Hannah Grimes Annual Entrepreneur Conference. Giarratana founded his company, Lucidus Corporation, in 2002 in Keene, New Hampshire. The internet strategy and services firm has grown to ten employees with offices in Miami and Las Vegas in just five years.
