Our Process
Every project is unique. But our proven approach is consistent. Plan the work, then work the plan. Before a single line of code is written, we help you determine what your business needs. And we make sure that the programming works before a single page goes live. We’re focused on outcomes: what do you want to do, and how can your application make it happen? Here, without any technical jargon, is how we work with you in five steps to ensure the right result:
Analysis
We start by talking with you to gather all the features you want. We put them down on paper and help you prioritize them: what you can’t live without, what you’d love, what you’d like, and what can wait. We ask what your users are saying, and we study your existing capabilities. But most of all we listen to you.
Design
Here’s where your wish lists become tangible plans. We incorporate your desired features into designs of key Web pages, to show how a user will see and navigate the space. We evaluate existing software options for solutions, and identify needs for custom applications. Often, we create skeleton sites that show how all the pages link to one another, and we produce flow charts to map every path that can be taken by users—and the information or functions they seek.
Development
Here’s where we roll up our sleeves to convert static designs into working applications. It’s also where most of the technical jargon comes into play, but we promised not to use that here.
Testing
Once your application is developed, we put it through its paces, performing rigorous quality assurance analysis and making any needed revisions on the fly. We ensure the application works as advertised, on the Web browsers where your end users are located.
Deployment
With our testing reports in hand and every kink smoothed out, we can launch your application to the world. We review the process to see what lessons can be learned, and fix any bugs that may arise. With your application up and running, we can start the process again, for the features that didn’t make the first version.
